untarot project
facing the unknown with deftness and style
Tarot empowers us to face challenges with more flexibility, wisdom, and grace, and live in greater alignment with our values.
tarot is a mirror
Through its images, symbols, and archetypes, we can access the vastness of our own intuition and the collective imagination.
tarot connects us to our scrappiness and agency
I read from a framework that recognizes the role of systems in producing so many of the problems people face — and also emphasizes agency, scrappiness, and creative problem-solving.
reclaiming colonized symbolism
The modern Tarot was popularized by folks with a lot of power and privilege, and based on appropriated symbols from a range of mystical traditions. I’m interested in how the archetypes can be re-enlisted to serve folks who live on the margins.
tarot contains the keys to its own subversion
Cards like the Seven of Swords and The Devil, which are considered ill omens in traditional Tarot readings, can be powerful allies for folks who have historically been disempowered.

hi, i’m rachel.
I’m a queer, disabled writer and mystic living in creepy New England.
I offer Tarot readings and intuitive counseling for folks like me: outsiders, cynics, dreamers, pragmatists, and survivors who may be a little allergic to the “love and light” messages of the larger “woo” community.
I read from an anticapitalist, contrarian, pragmatic, and subversive framework
